Jason Andrews is the co-founder, president and chief executive officer of Spaceflight Industries. He co-founded Andrews Space in 1999, recognizing the tremendous opportunity to be a catalyst in the commercialization, exploration and development of space. An aerospace expert and entrepreneur at heart, Jason’s passion lies in developing new markets and solutions. He launched the company’s highly successful Spaceflight in 2010 to deliver launch rideshare services and BlackSky in 2013 to transform how we look at our world, and built world-class teams and operations to support them.
Having grown up talking about space around the dinner table with his Boeing engineer father and even attending NASA space camp as a child, Jason is the driving force behind the company’s vision to “use up there to make down here better.” Prior, Jason served at Kistler Aerospace Corporation in a range of leadership positions. He graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering.
Jason lives in Seattle with his wife and three children. When he’s not working, you can find him racing sailboats, skiing down the steep Cascade mountains, doing math homework, and enjoying a well-deserved bourbon drink.
